Vibes FM was started in January of 2002, the station was setup to provide a platform for new and upcoming artists who
are not gettin air play on mainstream stations. The opportunity to give Soca , and Calypso the well deserved exposure that
it needs was another major factor in the setting up of the station, as there are not many UK based stations that have a
playlist that keeps Soca in the constant rotation.

Vibes FM is a self funded station with strong support from CD Pool,Greensleeves & Jetstar Records who are considered
to some of the world's biggest record labels. Although the station is mainly geared to play Soca, a great amount of Reggae,
and R'n'B , Bhangra, Soul, Gospel, and Salsa is played during the normal webcasting period ( weekends only ) giving
Caribbean music in general a lift to the next level.

Vibes FM is operated by Cris ( DJ Cris ) Collins , who is originally from St.Kitts. But the station would have not been
possible without the help of brothers Dale & Trevour....who are the inspiration behind the whole project. And although
they are not heard on air...their contribution is without a doubt the main stay of the station.

Sundays are normally very special on Vibes FM...when Cris goes "live" for a few hours....bringing the best Caribbean tunes
to the internet, his humour and presenting style is second to none. People from all countries and all walks of life tune in week
after week to hear the prank calls, interviews, and tunes they haven't heard in years. Vibes have now sealed its place as a
great net station, and setting the trend as the first Kittitian overseas station to come online, and one of......... if not the only
single handed operating station in the UK ( owned by a single individual ). The station has the ability to run unmanned for
weeks on end, and streaming in stereo at 96kps. Much thanks most go to Bill Best and the CMA crew who handles
