Bashiyra meaning Glad Tidings and Joy, and that's exactly the effect this woman will have upon you once you hear her sing.......WOW!

Bashiyra has always sung, deciding to pursue it professionally at the age of fifteen doing background vocals for a small family production company as well as engaging with Second Wave at the The Albany Empire, London. She soon metamorphorised and began developing her solo career.

In 1993 Bashiyra released " I Will Always Love You", a reggae single which charted at No.9in the Jet Star Reggae Distribution Chart.Bashiyra went on to do several personal appearances in Philadelphia, USA.

Bashiyra  later collaborated with several individuals producers and musicians, destine upon developing her own material. During this time Bashiyra also teamed up with fellow musicians involved in running their own vocal agency as well as many gigs as both lead and backing vocalist at such shows like 40 Years Of Black Music And Black History. And just more recently appearing at the very famous ( The Jazz Cafe, London.)

Bashiyra is now in the process of co-producing and writing material intended for a superb debut album encompassing Soul, Jazz, Funk, RnB, and Dance along with other interesting musical fusion's to delight all. Bashiyra has the natural ability which enables her to adapt too a change of style with effortless poise, diction, feeling and sheer talent. Which with out any doubt will take this new singing diva in the forefront of UK singers some time soon, the time has now come for the world to experience this new talent.
